Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspections
Commercial Business Consultants, LLC is certified by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to monitor and inspect site conditions concerning stormwater, erosion, and sedimentation. During construction, every site operator should develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan.
To assist in this regard, the Environmental Protection Agency has published a national comprehensive guide for construction site operators. For more information, see: http://water.epa.gov/polwaste/npdes/stormwater/upload/sw_swppp_guide.pdf. This guide depicts methods and best practices that prevent runoff and the associated environmental impacts that can degrade water quality in local lakes and rivers. Once your plan is in place, CBC will help guide you through the process of monitoring your Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. To maintain best practices frequent inspections are needed. CBC’s certified inspector promptly evaluates and documents existing stormwater, erosion, and sedimentation site conditions.
Examples follow of control types regulated by the State of Florida and listed in its Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Inspection Report Form. CBC’s inspector will evaluate each of these during a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Inspection:
- Silt fencing and sediment traps
- Earth berms, swales, and perimeter ditches
- Structural diversions and retaining walls/gabions
- Subsurface and pipe slope drains
- Storm drain inlet protections
- Construction entrance stabilizations
- Retention and detention ponds, sediment basins, dams
- Permanent seed/sod, mulch, and vegetative buffer strips
- Paved road surfaces, curbs, and gutters
Commercial Building Consultants, LLC will provide Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Inspections for your construction site within 24 hours of the end of a storm event. Contact CBC today for your free quote.
